Hi guys,

As mentioned by Mr Dhanern in the Email, (Go check your NP Mail if you still haven checked your mail in aeons) He wants to have weekly crits, the first upcoming one is this Wednesday:

No Classes on 22nd July(Tuesday), 25th July(Friday) & 5th August (Tues)

1. Your attendance for 22nd, 25th & 5th will be marked based on individual crit with me on 23rd (Wed), 29th (Tues), & 1st (Fri) at HLM Design Studio . Please be informed that if you fail to meet me on any of these dates, your attendance will be counted as 0.

2. Please follow project guidelines_rev at earthdesigners.com; failure to comply will affect your marks.

3. The examples for hardscape & softscape working drawings, coverpage & drawing list is out at earthdesigners.com.

I have pasted the exact copy of his email over here, so you don't have to look at your mail.

There are still some confusions about some terms:
Hardscape:
Meaning your Autocad Planning Drawings, section elevation, etc. That's the basis he wants to see this coming Wednesday

Perspective:
As it says, the drawing which need you to visualize how it looks like, drawn/sketchup, will suffice.

Thanks.

I think we all have enough time to slack during the LD lesson already.

Some of you guys claim to have no time in doing your respective parts, so now:

Every Tuesday & Friday is to do your LD. It doesn't matters whether you do it on other days, so long you turn up on Tuesday and Friday and do your LD during the lesson itself.

So yes:
NO
-Laptop Usage (Online shopping and etc.)
-Sleeping
-Idling for long periods of time

Anyone caught doing that, will be dealt with severely. No questions asked.

We are really running out of time, this is the only time you can really be free and do your LD, unless you want to come back on Saturday to do it. Not to mention that SGF is coming soon and it's going to take quite a huge chunk of time out from the schedule.

If you don't cooperate, you are making it hard for yourself and the others.

Back to what to bring for each LD session:
-Drawing Stuffs
-Papers (A4)
-Your own perspective photographs

Besides, you can get the help you needed when we are around. 8 more brains are better than 1.

Thanks.

Hi guys, some work that you need to do and give it to me by this Friday:

-A written script for your area

I need this so as to do a video on it, EVERYONE's INVOLVED. No questions asked. What I need is about 10 - 15 seconds of talking, max about 20 seconds.

What you need to do is this:
-A intro of your area (Your intro of the area and where is it located)
-Design of the area (Like why you do a wavy design, for eg)
-Any interesting ideas that you can fit in.

Give it to me on Friday itself, so that I can review and get it quickly processed.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

Just an update, of what we have already done the 5th trip:
-Perspective Shots
-Measurements of Repsective Areas

As for those who cannot make it for the trip today, we have also done your site, so the pictures, you have to make do what we can take. Please get online around 8pm tomorrow so that we can send you your individual areas and you can do a selection for it. And also to send you the measurements.

Just in case YOU still didn't know, this is still going to be a group presentation in the end, so if you in some way, slacked off, you are literally pulling the others down with you too.

I would highly suggest you get hold of these programs and start learning how to use them if you don't want FYP, or other modules work piling up and suffocating you.

-AutoCad 2006 (Everyone should use 2006 version, it's the most stable AFAIK.)
-Google Sketchup (Pro or Non Pro also can, get from me if you don't have it.)
-Adobe Photoshop CS2/3 (Again, get from me if you don't have.)

Cos at the end of the day, you are required to submit to me for compilation of the following:

-Perspective Drawings, handdrawn/3D models
-Videos
-3D models (So I can render)

Alot of work I know, but let's give it all like what we did for Part 1.

Thanks.
